The Wright Way Burgers & BBQ held the grand opening on Saturday, Nov. 9, for its new restaurant in Hamden at 3835 Whitney Ave restaurant.

The owners posted on Instagram that they were overwhelmed by the community's support and the influx of customers on their first day of business. That love went both ways.

"Y’all made some great burgers & fries! I’ll definitely be back in," one person replied to the post.

"Food was great!! The Wright Way never disappoints!!!" another wrote.

The Wright Way Burgers & BBQ truck found success with its barbecue that has "Lowcountry influence with New England Swagger," the owners like to say.

We have been in the restaurant business for over 10 years, learning as much as possible, and creating our own style everywhere we went. We fell in love with BBQ while living in The Lowcountry of South Carolina. The sense of friendship, and families sharing a meal that was cooked with such care and technique, is what we love most about it.
